Bite-size Protein

As everone knows PowerBar is most commonly known for their protein bars, and for good reason. They have very delicious products that also supply a large amount of protein that gives you the amount you need after a tough work out. Most recently they have taken a step forward and created bite-size protein balls that make consuming protein easy. They are called Protein Plus Bites, and come in a resealable bag that allows you to eat the correct amount of balls given your body weight. Currently the only flavor is Chocolate Peanut Butter but stay posted as there are supposed to be more flavors under construction. I feel the most desirable thing about this product is the fact you can reseal the bag after use and come back and eat more later. That is something that you can’t get with the normal protein bars on the market.

A Real Chocolate Protein Snack

You may have seen candy bars on the market like for example Snicker’s Marathon Bar that poses as a protein bar but in reality is no better than the regular Snickers bar. The reason that many of these companies fail to make a candy bar that is good for you is because their mentaliy is from a candy bar companies perspective rather than a protein bar companies perspective. BioNutritional is known for their great tasting protein bars and now have created  great tasting and healthy chocolate bar that comes in dark and milk chocolte flavors. The Choklat Crunch Bar gives you a great source of protein, calcium, and potassium without sacrificing the taste of a conventional chocolate bar. BioNutritional uses their coined “Proto Whey” as the main source of protein in their bars and stands by the effectiveness torward its metabolic response. Once you’ve tried this chocolate bar you won’t go back to the imitators!

Quick Protein

Theres nothing I want more when I get out of the gym than some fast acting convienent protein intake. Usually when I get out of the gym it is around 8:00 at night and I don’t have the time or energy to make a meal for just myself to eat. Also I really don’t like taking in too much calorie intake after 8:00 because I am trying to cut weight. So i was in some serious need of finding some kind of supplementation that would be right for me without the mixing and adding of some other proteins I’ve dealt with in the past. Someone at my gym brought to my attention ABB Pure Pro RTD protein shakes, which were sold at my gym. I gave it a try and had a Strawberry Banana shake and was so impressed with the way they tasted that I bought a case at Supplement Central. They are heavily discounted in bulk at SC so you are definately getting your money worth compared to buying single bottles at the gym.

I was looking for a healthy alternative to my usual sugar packed morning cereal and stumbled across something that will allow me to have the best of both worlds. I was in shock to say the least but on my computer screen in front of me there it was, protein pancakes! I thought to myself how could this possibly taste any good? On a curious impulse I bought a container of the pancake mix and tried it out for myself. The pancakes were made by Met-Rx and are called Met-Rx Protein Plus Pancake Mix. To my surprise the pancakes were absolutely delicious, and I felt guilt-free because I was taking in 12 grams of protein a serving and very little calories. If your looking for a tasty way to feel good about eating a healthy breakfast, check out Met-Rx Protein Plus Pancake Mix.

Soy Protein

I have tried soy protein in the past and was pleased with what the quality of it. Bodybuilders tend to stray away from taking soy protein because of the rumor that it raises your estrogen level but there are many positive effects from taking soy protein. If you are looking for a great soy protein company I recommend trying Kay’s Naturals. Not only do you get all of the benefits from the soy protein but all of the Kay’s Naturals products taste great! They have soy protein cereal, chips, and pretzels all of which come in a variety of flavors. Another great way to get soy protein into your daily diet is buy taking GeniSoy’s Protein Crunch Bar. The bars have 15 grams of soy protein and are tasty enough to mistake for being a candy bar. I’ve had success with both Kay’s Naturals and GeniSoy, which one you choose is up to you! Hope you enjoy the benefits of soy protein in the future!

Optimum Nutrition 100% Casein Protein

Casein is the most abundant protein present in milk. It is considered a high quality protein because it is easily assimilated and supplies sufficient quantities of amino acids that cannot be synthesized by the body. Casein exerts a slight pressure on the stomach walls, it signals the brain to stop eating because the stomach is full. Just before bed give it try.

Cytosport Muscle Milk

Chocolate is usually the staple flavor in whey protein powders. I’ve been wanting to try a different flavor Muscle Milk but I hate to buy one and try it once and not use it. I noticed that there are over 20 flavors most of them look good enough to try. Who would of thought a company would come out with a flavor like Root Beer Float, Cinnamon Bun or Cake Batter I mean come on it sounds better than the regular “Good old faithful Flavors” like Chocolate and Vanilla. Has anyone had a flavor that gave them the wow factor. What do you use?

I lift hard at the gym every morning before work and throughout the day its hard for me to eat small meals. Does anyone recommend any brands. Taste is probably the most important to me.
